We had fairly sheer curtains before, and they let too much light through when we were using our projector. These curtains are not black out curtains by any means, but they reduce the amount of light that comes through significantly. We got them in the natural color, and the light that comes through as a result is nice and warm looking. The pic makes them look off-white, but they're more toward the light-tan side of "natural", I'd say.
These curtains feel fairly substantial, and we're quite happy with them. Also, I didn't even iron them, just hung them, and the wrinkles/folds fell out after a day.
