My fiance and I work night shift at a Walmart, and I was often kept awake by the bright light in the room during the day. Even with a light blocking curtain, light got in over the top, over the curtain rod. The Shiftshade isn't an entirely perfect light seal, but it's much better than a normal curtain. I suspect that if it was pinned or stapled into place instead of using the included fiberglass rods, the seal would be better. The fabric itself is great though; in places the fabric covers, it's dark as night. Love the product!
