I ordered a Plasma TV and the ZVOX at the same time and I was really bummed when both arrived not working (from different shippers companies). The Plasma was cracked. The ZVOX simple did not turn on at all when plugged in. I detail this because I had a horrible time returning the Plasma and an incredible customer service experience with Fred at ZVOX. The Plasma people said it would take days for my "refusal" paperwork to get to them and then they would call me to see if I wanted refund or replacement. It's been 5 days and I never heard from them yet so bought a new one closer by. On the other hand, Fred at ZVOX assured me a dud unit only occurred 3 times in their history and did the unbelievable in making sure a replacement was at my house the next day even BEFORE I returned the non-functioning unit. Never had that happen. Now that I have the ZVOX hooked up it is simply the best sound system ever. The ease of mixing dialogue and FX while watching DVDs/Blu-Rays is worth it alone. Every film's mix of these is so different that it become painful trying to adjust the average surround-sound system to watch any given movie. The ZVOX cures that. The surround is incredible, I think, as the PhaseShift really throws effects far to each side. As many point out, you will not ever get sounds coming behind you like back speakers, but frankly SO WHAT. That's not what surround sound is about. It's about the full feel of the sound, and ZVOX is amazing. As many pointed out, the sound will only be as good as the source, so I didn't even bother hooking my TV to the ZVOX, just my Blu-Ray player, so I don't waste the ZVOX on poor TV audio. I instead use TV speakers for that. Also the ZVOX has 2 sets of audio input (analog dual cable input) so you can buy a $12 cable and plug you iPod or iPhone in and hear music as it should be. So happy I bought this.
