Hours after I opened the box I Used the hammer drill to blast 5/16 dia holes 2" deep into concrete, and the impact driver to sink lags. Great balance and light weight make this a true pro grade tool. My first dewalt was a 12 volt purchased (BA... before Amazon) 20 years ago and I still own it. Stopped buying batteries for it and ran a 10 foot wire with spring clamps into an old battery shell. It's nice for working on cars and boats; just pop the hood and I have all the power I need. I digress. DO NOT compare this to a Ryobi! I have a box of those toys sitting in my garage collecting dust. This tool is top shelf. I plan on going through many battery packs, and when its time; having it laid to rest with me. THE INSTRUCTION book, ha ha, real men don't read instructions anyway, dewalt went GREEN ...it's meant to be tossed in the trash.

Pros: Great balance, light weight to power ratio, solid detents on the drill chuck while switching from slip and going all the way to hammer drill, one handed battery change, compact storage box.

Cons: Instruction sheet is a onetime read due to tissue paper print and ridiculous folds. Chuck wobble could be a factory flaw, I AM going to put it in a vice and perform a run out test on it. This could be a HUGE issue for dewalts flagship compact.

NO comment: I have not used the belt clip enough to decide if I like it or not. I have no idea how long the battery really last (its subjective anyway based on many factors)
