Strong without being heavy, each Füri Rachael Ray Gusto Grip knife is constructed from a single piece of superior German CrMoV stainless-steel alloy, with a forged bolster and strong tang. Molded around the tang is an inner core of durable polypropylene and an outer layer of synthetic rubber for all-day, non-slip comfort. One new feature is the anti-microbial agent permanently infused into the polypropylene. The handles feature the patented Füri reverse-wedge shape that prevents the hand from sliding toward the sharp blade even when wet. At the tail, a stainless-steel counterweight provides perfect balance. Füritechnics recommends washing the knives by hand and sharpening them periodically with the company's own Diamond Fingers system. At first I thought these knives were the greatest. After about 2yrs. the handles started to break off in my hand. Water gets trapped in the top of the grip and the handle starts to just rust off at that point. I tried contacing Furi about this several times and could never get anyone to return my emails about their product. Never again from Furi thank you.
