Nice medium duty 2-cycle thrower for home use. I have a pretty long driveway, maybe 80 feet plus a wrap around and a pad and this thrower gets the job done quickly.
It pulls itself along very well unless snow is very deep or heavy, though that may diminish as the blades wear. Toro's scraper blade is supposed to level itself as the blades wear as it is on some sort of spring loaded guide.
Does a good job scraping the asphalt as long as there is no ice on the bottom so get out there before you drive over the snow.
Throws snow a pretty good distance, easily across a full 2 car wide driveway even with 6+ inches of fresh snowfall. In extremely wet and heavy snow it will only throw it a few feet. It takes me a few passes near the end of the driveway where the city plows have pushed mushy salt-ridden muck into the end of the driveway, but it does get the job done with a bit of extra effort. It has enough torque to keep from stalling through that and keeps the snow coming out of the chute and away from the unit. Glad I went for the 141cc instead of the 79cc as that may have had a harder time with that. I haven't had any need to use a shovel in any place I could run this unit.
I haven't had too much trouble starting it with the recoil start, though my unit is still pretty new and I haven't had to start it on an negative temperature (F) days. It's a typical 2 stroke so it takes a few tries. Don't expect miracles, and if you're only used to starting small 4 stroke lawn mowers in 70F weather realize 2 strokes in cold weather take more effort. I wouldn't recommend the recoil start (210R) for anyone with bad arm or shoulder. Since this 210E thrower is an ELECTRIC start you shouldn't have to worry about it. Do note they do not seem to include the extension cord, so don't forget to pick one up.
